Friendship at Avocet House Care Home

When a resident joins us at Avocet House, we pride ourselves on the ability to make each day slightly easier. The day-to-day needs looked after, the cooking, cleaning and laundry taken care of, the security of a home, but we also pride ourselves on the friendships and new memories that are created.

Friends make the good times better and the hard times easier. We know the importance of having a good friend, someone to laugh with, to reminisce with and here at Avocet House our residents have some wonderful friendships.

Our residents have many shared experiences and therefore support each other, have fun together and most importantly enjoy this new chapter in their lives.

Our activities team, work hard to arrange weekly activities and events for our residents to take part in. These activities are planned with the residents in mind and are altered depending on resident feedback.

Having a friend to join in our activities with, makes them just that bit better!
