Summer Fete at Avocet House Care Home

Summer Fete at Avocet House Care Home

At Avocet house we don’t believe in letting anything stop us from having a good day for our residents, so with our Summer fete being held on possibly one of the worst British summer days so far we decided that our summer fete would still go ahead but indoors.

The Fete was planned with local businesses in mind, we wanted prioritise them and support those in our local community. Stalls included, sweet stall, animal therapy, face painting, arts & crafts, tombola and raffle, plus the local ice cream van also made an appearance.

We invited all of our residents family and friends to join us.

Michelles Animal Therapy and Petting Party was a huge hit and thoroughly enjoyed by all ages.

Ou residents had a fantastic day, looking around the stalls and treating themselves to a few items.

One of our residents daughters said ‘It’s amazing how much fun my mum has, you all do an amazing job.”

Avocet House provides residential and dementia care and is located on Parkes Lane on the new Quadrant development in Boston.
